Scully: He told me that she was dead. Mulder: [sighs] Oh, well... he's a liar. Scully: Mulder, why would he lie now? I mean, think about it. It hurts me to tell you this. Mulder: [yelling] The handprints prove he's a liar! I saw her handprints in the cement. Her name, Samantha, right underneath them. How more obvious can it be? Harold Piller led me there. He led me right to them. Scully: Oh, he led you, Mulder. He led you from the moment that he met you. |
Well it's not like it's a difficult feat to pull off. All one has to do is mention Samantha and maybe wave something shiny in front Mulder and he forgets to try to be somewhat skeptical.
Mulder has an annoying habit of not acknowledging that someone is speaking to him. When Scully comes into the room Mulder never looks up the whole time she's speaking. It's not until after she's done that he actually raises his head. The least he could have done was to look up for a nanosecond so Scully would have known that he was listening. After that he would have been free to go back to looking at the picture.
Mulder was less than polite to Scully on the phone when she told him about CSM's involvement in Samantha's disappearance. Since when does he not want to explore all angles? This is the same man who let some quack shoot him up with animal tranquilizers and drill a hole in his Punk ass head!
As if being rude to Scully weren't enough, Mulder is equally nasty to Harold Piller when he doesn't get the answers he's looking for fast enough. Mulder's been looking for his sister for over 25 years. Why would he expect the answers to just drop into his Punk ass lap that easily?
Once again when Scully doesn't agree with him Mulder resorts to yelling as though raising his voice is going to make Scully agree with him.
Trespassing: Twice! When the guard tells him to move along by day Mulder sneaks in at night. Not exactly the behavior of a law abiding law enforcement agent.
