Phoebe Cabotaje-Andes



Phoebe Cabotaje-Andes is among the honorees in a $100 dinner a plate, black tie gala fund-raiser hosted by the Institute of Nursing Foundation of the N J State Nurses Association on Dec 1 at Woodbridge Hilton in New Jersey.



 

Andes is a retired professor and a practioner of nursing, and has taught for 21 years in Middlesex County College in Edison, and most recently as an adjunct faculty at Bloomfield College and taught in many schools of nursing.



 

She is the founder and funding president of the Philippine Nurses Association of the New Jersey and second president of the Philippine Nurses Association in America. She presently sits in the New Jersey State Board of Nursing appointed by former Gov. Jim Florio. She has held leadership roles in civic, professional, religious and cultural organizations. She has been president of the Solano, USA (NUEVA VIZCAYA), Asian American Political Coalition of New Jersey, the Federation of Philippine Societies of NJ, and the University of the Philippine Alumni in New Jersey.



 

She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Arts from Columbia University. She has two children Pam and Edwin.

 

Needless to say, she is one of the finest who came out of Nueva Vizcaya.
