Popular is a new show on the WB for the 1999 - 2000 season. It stars Leslie
Bibb as Brooke McQueen, a member of the popular crowd, and Carly Pope as Samantha
McPherson, an outside looking in. The show also has a good supporting cast for the
two main
charaters including Sara Rue (Carmen Ferrara), Christopher Gorham (Harrison
John),
Bryce Johnson (Josh Ford), Tamara Mello (Lily), Tammy Lynn Michaels (Nicole Julian), Ron Lester(Sugar)
Leslie Grossman (Mary Cherry), Scott Bryce (Mike McQueen), Lisa Darr (Jane
McPherson) and Chad Lowe (Luke Grant).
Part one of the seson premiere aired on Wednesday, September 29 at 9/8c.
The second part of the opener aired in the shows regular time slot of Thursday
September 30 at 8/7c on the WB.
The show takes place at the fictional Kennedy High where all the characters
attened high school.
