John Mayer I discovered John Mayer in 2003, with the release of "No Such THing".    Since then I have discovered a muscal genius, albeit a musician with a subltey that is not apparent until you watch him play live.   As a guitarist, I gasp and gaze with mouth agape as I watch him play and sing music of such creativity and enthusiasm.  He revitalised my love for my music and have discovered a whole new world of technique and artistry.   If ever I had a musical hero, if ever I had a musical mentor, it is John Mayer.

Alanis Morissette Alanis and her music really struck a chord with me and my life.  Her non-conformative musical stylings and wailing poetry was an awakening to my soul and musical expressionism.   The brutal honesty, both about herself and her subjects in her songs broke down many walls in me, especially walls relating the my own self belief, knowing myself better than I thought possible.   The uniqueness of her music never gets old and she is my Queen of Modern Day Messangers
