The Writing Center is a unique institution that offers one-to-one consultation to help
students become better writers. And that's only what it says in the VeCo manual !
In fact, we also offer biscuits, coffee and inject the "tutor-tutee" relationship with some degree of empathy, and when we've been let out
of our cage, humour. Well, we try. After all, life is a learning process, and we cannot deny that every time we help someone with their essay,
we also profit. (And you thought we were saints ;-) ).
Seriously though, the Writing Center staff can provide help not only with basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation,
but also with understanding an assignment.
As has always been the Center's mantra, our aim is to
make sure that students get help to improve their writing skills -- not tomorrow or next week -- today.
