- The English language can sometimes be very deceptive: a word can
seem to mean something else.
Nevertheless, if you are well prepared, you can spot these usual suspects from a mile off, and correct
yourself before any teacher does.
Here is an example:
achieve, believe
versus acheive, beleive
The first one is right. Why? Well, perhaps, it is worth remembering this little mnemonic:
