About the Artist  Guro Alan del Mundo, also known in the Garimot family as 'Lawin' (the Filipino Hawk), is a certified Guro of Arnis. In addition, Lawin is trained in the Filipino art of Buno (grappling), Kung Fu, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. However, his training is not limited to martial arts. Alan del Mundo earned his graduate degree in psychology and works as a therapist. He is also a trained chef with many different cuisines in his repertoire and a teacher of woodworking and furniture design. He currently resides in Washington where he continues his practice of therapy, woodworking, and martial arts. In addition to the manufacture of the Alibata, Guro del Mundo makes furniture for private clients.
