I found the story of this Aussie Shepherd at dachhund.org while searching the Net for Puppy Mill information.  I don't know who the author is as she could not give her name.  I was extremely angry after reading the condition of this poor girl, her neglect by a greedy, self centered, get rich quick owner.  I have to warn you, just like the author warns you, the pictures are graphic, but once you see them, you, too, will want to do whatever it takes to stop the mass production of puppy mills.  These poor dogs are innocent victims, slaves to their owners.  They are treated like a factory, not a living creature with feelings.  Click on the picture to read the story in its entirety.

FACT!  Puppy mills: facilities that mass produce puppies for sale to individuals or pets stores.

FACT!  Thousands of puppy mills aren't regulated or inspected by the USDA since they sell to the public.

FACT!  The USDA requires a license for anyone with 4 or more intact females who sells wholesale to brokers or pet stores.

FACT!  Some puppies may die during transport to the pet stores, others find irresponsible and abusive guardians.

Did you know that there are hundreds of thousands of puppies bred in mass numbers each year only to be distributed throughout the United States for sale in pet shops or to be listed on a web site or the newspaper classified section?  This is a tiny bit of the information found on Stop Puppy Mills Website.

Want to learn more about why you shouldn't purchase that pet shop puppy?  Click on Stop Puppy Mills below and see.

Okay, now that you have seen what a puppy mill is like, click on the banner below and adopt a homeless pet instead of buying one from your local pet shop.
