Whilst staying with friends in London, I decided that I would find
Sun Hill. Seeing as it was very hard to find Sun Hill (yep, it's not a real place! Did you know that?) I used my CID skills
to find the location.
Using an online map-guide and a trusty A-Z map, I found out where SW19 was and looked
for Deer Park Road. I noticed that there was a nearby Tramlink station nearby. So, I left Enfield and got on the train to
London.
(ABOVE) Look! It's Sun Hill railway station!
Nope, this is my artistic skills at their best (lol). This is actually the sign for Enfield
Chase station. I didn't fool you did I? Nope...didn't think so.
Anyway, back to the visit. I got off at the Tramlink station and was faced with a big
industrial estate. Going round the long way (trust me) I went past a real Metropolitan Police station. Well, it wasn't a real
station, it was a depot for cars and it was manned. I kept walking up Deer Park Road until I saw something very similar.
It was a building with the words "BOSUN HOUSE" on the side. This sight was familiar from
seeing all the LT Pics from people off the Billfans.net forum. Then, around the corner was our favourite landmark - SUN HILL!
(ABOVE) This was the first photo I took. It's looking east (the
entrance to the Yard is to the left of this photo). The 'METROPOLITAN POLICE SUN HILL' sign was covered up.
(ABOVE) This is the second photo I took. This one is looking west
towards Deer Park Road. As you can see the sign is covered up. Notice all the wood in the front yard - what could this have
been used for? Hmm...
(ABOVE) This was the third photo to be taken. This catches the CID
offices and the CSU offices (plus the DCI and Super's offices).
(ABOVE) This is the fourth - and this is looking towards the main
entrance.
(ABOVE) This, being the fifth, shows an extra, in uniform being
spoken to by a director (I think). I was lucky to catch them filming - they were filming in the main front office and as I
walked past I could see a woman with black hair. I think they were rehearsing because the sound boom (big muffly thing) wasn't
being used. Then two extras jumped outside the door, waited a few seconds and then calmly walked in. Below is a close up of
the extra...
