Two men on opposite sides of the country die mysteriously, the blood drained from their bodies. Each leaves behind a daughter - identical to the other. Then the girls themselves disappear. As the bizarre evidence piles up, even Scully and Mulder begin to wonder if this is a case of alien abduction or something stranger and more sinister.
My Rating: 9/10
An excellent episode that set The X-Files on the road to stardom. The subject matter of cloning was probably somewhat ahead of it's time - you didn't see much of that sort of stuff on TV way back in 1994 when it first aired in Australia. The acting by the Krievins twins and Harriet Harris is excellent and generally the story is well told and suspenseful.

Notable Quotable:
Scully: "95% blood loss. That's over 4 litres of blood."
Mulder: "I'd say the man was running on empty."

Scully: "Mulder, why would alien beings travel light years through space in order to play doctor on cattle?"
Mulder: "For the same reason we cut up frogs and monkeys. Besides, they seem to have stepped up their interest."

Mulder: "I'll tell you what... I'm going to sleep on it and we'll talk about it in the morning."
Scully: "Mulder, you're rushing me out of the room."
Mulder: "No, I'm not."
Scully: "You got a girl coming over?"
Mulder: "What's a girl? (he opens the door) No, I have ... there's a movie I want to watch on TV. Sleep tight. See you in the morning."

Cindy: "We're just little girls."
Mulder: "That's the last thing you are."
Where Have I Seen That Face Before?
Harriet Sansom Harris (Sally Kendrick) is a star of "Frasier" and has appeared in the movies "Quiz Show", "Addams Family Values" and "Romeo and Juliet". She's made guest appearances in episodes of "Law And Order", "Space: Above And Beyond" and "Millennium".

Twins Erika and Sabrina Krievins (Cindy Reardon and Teena Simmons) only other appearance is a small uncredited role in the TV movie "Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus." They have a Polish website, Erika and Sabrina Krievins, dedicated to them, where you can find info from this episode.

Trivia
The first names of the little girls, Cindy and Teena, are the same as the wives of writers/producers Glen Morgan and James Wong.

While Ellen Reardon is being questioned by Mulder and Scully, Cindy is seen watching "Eek the Cat", a cartoon program that later did a parody of "The X-Files".
