An old flame of Mulder's tries to enlist his aid to protect a visiting British Parliament member and lights a small spark of jealousy in Scully. Mulder must overcome his fear of fire to take on the hot-headed pyrokinetic serial killer.
My Rating: 6/10
Despite all the fire, I thought this episode was rather "wet". Granted, there are some good special effects but overall it's a bit flat and predictable.

Notable Quotable:
Nurse: "Can I get you anything, sir?"
Cecil: "I'm just dying for a cigarette."
Where Have I Seen That Face Before?
Mark Sheppard (Bob/Cecil) has appeared in "In The Name Of The Father" and "Nether World". On TV he's starred in "Soldier Of Fortune" and also appeared in episodes of "JAG" and "Sliders".

Amanda Pays (Phoebe) has appeared mainly in TV movies plus the appropriate "Oxford Blues". She's also appeared in "Leviathan" and the "Max Headroom" TV series.

Trivia
The first victim's name is Sir Malcolm Mardsen, the same as the hair stylist for "The X-Files".

Scully says "X-Files number 11214893" -- 11/21/48 is Chris Carter's wife, Dori's birthday. '93 is the year the episode was filmed.
