During the course of the investigation, Mulder’s trust in his source is tested, he is kidnapped by the government baddies and Scully has to sneak into a secret Government lab and steal evidence. Oh, did I mention that The X Files division gets shut down as well? These events sandwich an even greater puzzle. What does the government know about aliens, what sort of strange experiments are they performing and why are they hiding this fact from the public?

Scully: "No. I think he does it because you do."

Mulder to Deep Throat: "My mother usually wanted me home by the time the streetlights come on."

Mulder: "Cut out the Obi-Wan Kenobi crap."

Mulder: "Maybe you’ve become too dependent on me."
