My Rating: 7/10
Just when you thought the writers had scraped the bottom of the monster-of-the-week barrel, along comes a Clark Kent inspired x-ray eyes plot. Well that's what I thought when I saw the promo at the end of last week's episode. It turned out "not-so-bad" though in my opinion, despite some scathing reviews I've read from other fans.

The x-ray vision is never explained and I guess it's no more unbelievable than other extraordinary abilities of X-Files monsters.

For my mind, there wasn't enough of either Scully or Doggett again this episode, and again they have become cliched already - Doggett says no way while Scully is Mulder.

I felt sorry for dimwit Tammi, one of the few times I've felt sympathy for a character in recent episodes, so the episode gets points for that fact alone! The teaser was also excellent. The episode wasn't great but it was OK!

As the episode opens the shop across the street is called "X-treme" and it uses a red version of the familiar X logo.

The end credits has a dedication to Gregory Nathan Boniface who played one of the gangbangers in the episode. He died late last year.
