Hyperfiction allows me to skip over certain pages or materials and then come back to them whenever I like. This is because, unlike a book where most of us read from the first page and not the epilogue first, hyperfiction is reversible. I can start reading a hyperfiction from either the back or the front. It will not matter because I can go back to the various texts whenever I like. At the same time, I will not be lost.

After coming to terms that hyperfiction is different from a book, I tried reading a few more hyperfictions from the various links provided. It proved to be a more enjoyable experience this time round. Hyperfictions are able to provide a massive amount of information through the links. Books are able to provide extra information too but accessing these information would involve a lot of other activities that could prove exhaustive. (Nicholas C. Burbules, Rhetories of the Web) We may have to travel to libraries or even buy other books to get the information. However, links in hyperfictions provide free and massive information at our fingertips. All we need to do is to click the mouse and we will be able to retrieve information without stepping out of the house. Furthermore, hyperfictions or hypertexts ‘permit readers separated in time and space to refer to the same information’. (Landow, Virtual Text, Virtual Authors, and Literary Computing) For instance, a seventy-eight year-old man, living in Singapore, could ‘visit’ Los Angeles through the hypertexts in the year 1999. A twenty year-old man could visit Los Angeles the same way too, in the year 2000.
