Hyperfictions
may provide a wealth of information but they are not permanent. This is
something totally different from a book. The hyperfictions may be on the net for
the first week but on the second week, it may be removed without any prior
notice. Hence, unless I print every single page and all the links of the
hyperfictions, I may never get to see the same hyperfiction ever again. Another
point to make here is that a lot of times when I clicked on the links of the
hyperfictions, I was led to empty websites, webpages undergoing construction or
there were simply no such urls. When such situations occurred, it was
really a waste of time because I had to go back to the hyperfiction to search
for another related or similar link. After my first experience with hyperfictions, I agree that there are truly a lot of advantages using and reading hyperfictions. I do enjoy reading different genres of hyperfictions. Hyperfictions are more visual than ordinary books. The animations and music on the hyperfictions make reading much more interesting and entertaining. However, it could be because of nostalgia. I still prefer books. I grew up with books. To the very minimum, I can own the books. They are mine. Hyperfictions? They are too volatile. They do not give me a sense of security because they can be taken off the net any moment. Even if I put a bookmark on the hyperfictions, it does not mean that I will always be able to access that page, unlike books. The very minimum, I could bring my books wherever I go, but not the hyperfictions because they would require a notebook or computer as a medium.
