The students of NUS are alive! They are not centuries old. Majority of them are in the peak of their lives, full of dreams and goals. However, The Ridge does not reflect that youthfulness and vibrancy of the students. Why do I say so? This is because if you have ever picked up a copy of The Ridge, you would realise that ninety-five percent of The Ridge is in black and white. The lack of colours makes The Ridge depressing and boring!

Come on! Bring in more colours! If the web version of The Ridge is to be successful, it can no longer adopt the feature of being plain. The Ridge is supposed to represent the NUS' environment. Surely the university is not a place where zombies walk. Moths are attracted to brightly lit objects. The same applies to people, who are still alive. They are attracted to colours and animations.  Take care though. Do not add too much colours to the webpages, otherwise, the webpages would become too gaudy and low class. Remember! The Ridge's webpage would be on the net where surfers from all over the world could access.

To attract NUS students to The Ridge's webpage, the webpage has to be sophisticated, attractive and comprehensible. The students have to be proud of the webpage first before they consider surfing through sections of the webpage.
