Chapter 3 - Taking Action
by Gaspar

It had been an hour since Crono disappeared.  The people were chattering amongst themselves about the incident, and the games had resumed.  Marshall, Marle, and Lucca were sitting down at the very spot Crono had stepped into the warp.  Marle was still weeping by herself.  Marshall was staring at Lucca, while Lucca was in deep thought.

“I wish Gaspar could help us,” said Marle.  She stared off at the direction where the first warp she entered was.  That also reminded her of Crono, and she began to weep again.

“Actually, we could go to Gaspar, right?” said Marshall.  Crono had told him of the tales, and he was perfectly informed of what was going on.

“We should go to Gaspar.  I can’t explain what happened here.  Its like time just exploded into this void with no interference.  How would we get to Gaspar?”

“The Epoch?” said Marle, looking a bit hopeful.

“Crono had the keys,” said Marshall.

“Marle, do you still have your pendant” asked Lucca, with a gleam on her face.  Marle got her small backpack out, and gave the pendant to Lucca.

“I still have my invention from the fair,” said Lucca, still gleaming.  Finally Marle started smiling, and Marshall didn’t quite understand, but he knew Lucca had done it again.

They started walking out the fair, and towards Lucca’s house.  They opened the door.  Lucca talked to her mom, and received a key.  She opened the basement.  There, they saw two pods, and a center-processing machine.

“This is it, the teleporter,” said Lucca.

“How would we get to Gaspar?” asked Marle.

“Remember, more than three people go into a warp, and the influx of time cannot handle such power.  So it takes you to the end of time.  I’m taking advantage of that,” stated Lucca.  Marshall was looking forward to his first time warp.  Marle and Lucca were recalling lost memories of only some years ago.

“Um, where would we find the fourth person?” asked Marshall.  Lucca was quick to react.

“Mom!” yelled Lucca.  “We have a problem here!”  Of course, she was lying.

“Yes honey!” Lucca’s brown eyed, brown haired mother stepped at the door.

“Marshall, grab my mom,” said Lucca.  Marshall understood and grabbed her, and put his hand over her mouth.  She was kicking and yelling.  Lucca placed the pendant on the right pod.  She turned on the machine, and a strange globe of what seemed to be thunder started to form.  The machine stopped, and a time warp was there, with the pendant still on the pod.  Lucca took out the Gate Key.

“Marle, you hop in quick, but last, you’ll grab your pendant,” commanded Lucca. Marle nodded, and Marshall, in tow with Lucca’s mother, and Lucca hopped in first.  Marle ran right after, and grabbed the pendant.  The gate closed on the four.  They were off to the End of Time.
