Falling Down (#DC402)

Pacey learns that he might graduate from high school with the gang this year. He failed 3 major classes during his junior year. Once found out, he tries to keep it from Joey. He does not want her to know how much of a screw-up he is.

Joey takes a job at Capeside Yacht Club. She uses the Rosses' as an excuse for getting the job. She meets Dru Valentine, son of Mrs.Valentine, who tricks her into believing that he is Owen Valentine. Later thought, she finds out that he is only Dru, and was just playing with her. She also consoles Pacey and tells him everything will be fine.

Jen finds out through Jack that Henry is breaking up with her. She lashes out at him that she didnt want to find out through him.

Dawson and Andie also star.

Two Gentlemen of Capeside (#DC403)

In this remake of "The Perfect Storm," Pacey receives his first A, and decides to go on a sailing trip. For prior reasons, Joey cannot go, so Jen goes along. While sailing, a storm hits. Rain and wind pummels True Love until Pacey finds a cove to stay at to wait for help.

Meanwhile, Joey, Dawson, and Dru Valentine are assigned a project because of Dru. Therefore, Joey is unable to go with Pacey. While she works at Capeside Yacht Club, the storm hits. Dawson knows where Pacey is, and he and Joey travel into the storm to save Pacey and Jen. Unfortunately, Pacey has to leave his boat behind.

Mrs. Valentine interviews Andie because she is a university rep. She focuses on Andie's mental illness and keeps on saying that its an important part of Andie. Andie believes it is not, and tells Mrs. Valentine off.

Future Tense (#DC404)

Capeside teens worry about their college episodes. To lull the anxiety, everyone attends Jen's un-birthday party, held by Dru Valentine. Joey realizes she's 4th in her class, but will need much more to help her enroll into colleges through scholarships. She winds up drunk, after having too much of the punch. Pacey carries her out, and brings her back to her house.

Jen has a chat with Dru about how she has left her old ways when she came back to Capeside. For a present, she receives ectasy. Dru hopes that she can revert back to her old ways.

Andie is all prepared for her colleges, having sent in her applications early. Therefore, she has time to bug Jack about it.

Dawson has a chat with Leery's Fresh Fish's new bartender, Gretchen, about Joey. He has realized that she really does love Pacey, although he does not want to let her go.

November 1, 2000

Family Ways (#DC405)

Gail and Mitch Leery find out that Gail is pregnant with their new baby. She debates whether to get an abortion or not. She does not know if she has the strength and time to raise a newborn. Dawson finds out, and becomes scared. He does not want the baby at first, but convinces himself to want it.

Joey wonders if she is ready to have sex. She thinks that Pacey is getting impatient. She attends a clinic to get some "goodies." Later though, she realizes that Pacey does not want to force into doing anything she doesn't want to do.

Andie and Jack team up to coach a soccer team. A girl hits on Jack, which forces him into telling her that he is gay. The girl tells the parents, and some of the boys do not show up. Their parents won't allow them to play. Jack is unnerved; he does not like how things have turned out.

Great X-pectations (#DC406)

Gail and Mitch Leery decide to have their baby. Dawson is happy, and he tells Joey and Gretchen.

The Capeside gang, along with Dru attend a rave. Jen tells Andie about ecstasy. Without Jen's knowledge, she takes one. She becomes high, and tells Pacey that she still loves him. Combined with her anti-depressant, Andie goes into a state of shock and is rushed to the emergency room.

Pacey confides in Joey that he still misses True Love, and she tells him she does too. He feels sad when Andie tells him about her feelings for him, high or not.

You Had Me At Goodbye (#DC407)

In this episode, Andie leaves Capeside. Before heading off to Harvard, she plans to visit her aunt in Italy.

The group is torn apart. Everyone speaks to Andie, but no one speaks to eachother. Jack is angry with Jen for the rave incident. Dawson, as one knows, is still annoyed at Pacey.

To get everyone to dinner, Andie schemes. She invites everyone, separately so that they don't know about anyone else. She tells them how much everyone means to her, and eachother. And that everything wasn't worth friendship.

Unusual Suspects (#DC408)

Every year a senior prank is pulled at Capeside High. This year someone has set the principal's boat afloat in the school pool with his dog on it. 6 students are called down to the office, Jack, Pacey, and Dawson included. Mr.Leery and the principal interrogate them. They ask what they've been doing, what they did at the time, who else they thought did it, etc. But all 3 manage to clear up their names and give another. Dru Valentine.

Dru takes the accusations and neither denies or confirms them. But its enough to get Jack, Pacey, and Dawson off the hook. Dru is suspended and his mother is upset.

Later, Joey meets the three in Dawson's room, and accuses them of pulling the prank. They explain to her a "hypothetical situation," but doesnt actually confirm to her that they did it.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (#DC409)

Its holiday party time in Capeside. The Leery's hold their holiday party, hosted by Gretchen. She has Dawson help her in the preparations. Through this all, they become very close. At the end, they kiss under the mistletoe.

Dawson has some heart-to-heart's with Mr.Brooks. He finds out why Mr.Brooks isnt making films anymore, and his story is very similiar to Dawson's (duh!). Dawson goes as far to invite him to the party. Later, he says Mr.Brook's "flirting" with Grams. :)

Pacey escorts Joey to a dinner for a prestigious college. There, he tells jokes and stories, leaving Joey out. She drags him outside to yell at him for his behavior. One of the representatives has Pacey talk to the dean, where he compliments Joey. They make up and head to the Leery's party, where they see Dawson and Gretchen kissing under the mistletoe.

Self Reliance (#DC410)

Its holiday time in Capeside, and Bessie and Bodie have left town for the weekend. Joey has been left with all the responsibility of the B&B, plus normal teenage stuff. She plans to study, but is interrupted by Alexander and Pacey. Eventually she becomes so annoyed that she throws Pacey out instead of staying with her. Later, of course, they reconcile for the holidays.

Meanwhile, the two are reeling over the emotions in Dawson and Gretchen's kiss. Both are confused over what is was. And so are the kiss recepients, Dawson and Gretchen. Gretchen believes it to be just a kiss under the mistletoe, but Dawson has other ideas. Dawson does have feelings for Gretchen, although he won't tell her.

Dawson also begins to film his documentary about Mr.Brooks. He realizes that Mr.Brooks is weaker then he thought when he catches him tired and weary.

Jen drags Jack to a Gay-Straight Coalition, where he meets Tobey. Tobey pushes Jack into explaining his feelings about everything. Jack doesn't fit in well, but Jen does.
