Since its establishment in 1946 by Howard P. House, MD., the House Ear Institute has grown from a one-person laboratory
to a five-story building accommodating a staff of over 120 people dedicated to the advancement of otology research. Our
physicians and scientists have explored the auditory system from the ear canal through the inner ear to the brain
itself. Now the Institute's scientific efforts are expanding into research on the cell and molecular level. It is our
belief that an exploration of the cellular structures in the auditory system and their function offers the greatest
possibility for finding cures for some of the many unsolved causes of deafness.
Through the Delta Zeta Foundation, our sorority contributes money raised by all the Delta Zeta chapters across
the United States. Delta Zeta believes that in supporting these two
organizations we add the gift of financial support and generating awareness to the speech and hearing impaired.
The Delta Zeta Foundation contributes to its educational mission by funding training programs, convention workshops,
qualified sorority programs and personnel and leadership schools, all to enhance opportunities for leadership development
and personal growth for Delta Zeta members.
For more information regarding contributions, contact our Foundation Coordinator, Diane Young at Delta Zeta's National Headquarters.
