These are just some tidbits of knowledge I've gathered from having dreads...
* I have ordered products from both dreadheadhq.com and knottyboy.com. I really like dreadheads products...I would recommend
getting the shampoo. Knottyboy has really cool tams, I like the one I got. I also like their beads, so go check them out.
* Use sea salt water to help the knotts tighten. Right after you spray them with the salt water blow dry
them on low as you rub them; it helps a lot! * If you want good tips but they haven't tightened up enough to
take rubber bands off yet try looping the loose end of the dread up onto the dread and then putting the rubber band about
a half inch from the end. That way they look good but you can go back and cut the loose hairs off and make a good tip later.
* Rub your roots a lot to make them tight, just use a clockwise motion and rub all over. It tangles all that
loose hair and roots really well. It works best when the hair is dry and clean, but you can do it in the shower too.
** Don't worry about them too much, in time most problems will fix themselves! I've had many split and flat
dreads that have fixed themselves over a couple of months without any help from me.
If you have any questions just e-mail me!
This is my friend Jeff-----------> He did his dreads when his hair was really short! It was much harder for him and
he ended up cutting them off. If you wait til your hair is longer you can make bigger dreads, and it's much easier.
