I got my dreads on December 21, 2000...with the help my of friends. Though we were all pretty much unexperienced dreaders,
they turned out quite well. I used a dread kit from Dreadheadhq.com.
UPDATE: My dreads are now getting close to being
5 years old...it is hard to imagine it has been that long. They finally got too long for me to handle so I cut about 6 inches
off of all the dreads. I weighed all the hair and it came out to one-fourth of a pound!
