APPLAUSE
It was a long time coming, but
ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Viki and Ben fina1ly made it back into each other's arms. It
was both poignant and shocking for the characters, not the viewers, because we
all knew their secrets and couldn't wait for them to be revealed.
After watching Sam with his little son without Nora, Ben realized how fragile
life can be, and knew he had to tell Viki the truth about himself. When Ben
confessed to Viki that he, not Max, is Asa and Renee's real son, she was
stunned. But Viki did not sit in judgment of the man she loved. Rather she stood
by him and told him she'd do as he wished: keep quiet or reveal all.
Then it was Viki's turn to confess, but Ben already knew that Viki had breast
cancer. How beautifully he told her that together they would fight the cancer
and anything else that stood in their way of being together. When Ben proposed
to Viki, she accepted and we applauded.
