A Second Surprise Pregnancy For Erika!
Erika Slezak and her husband, Brian Davies, are not only readying their home for a new child, but for their son too.
"If, I had know beforehand what it's like to hold your own baby in your arms, I would never have said all those things about being fat, worrying about labor pains, and all those things you go through when you're pregnant. I'd go through them again-for even longer-because the reward is so great! "
Well, Erika Slezak ("Viki Riley," One Life to Live) needn't worry about a pregnancy lasting longer than nine months. We're sure this little bundle of joy she's expecting, won't keep her waiting any longer than necessary. Yes, that's right, Erika Slezak is expecting her second child. And if you think you're surprised, imagine yourself the prospective parents!
Will Brian be by Erika's side when she delivers?
Erika and Brian admitted they did plan their first son, Michael's, birth, but this youngster was completely unexpected. The Davies did hope to have at least one more child, but had wanted to wait a bit longer.
At a time when it seems good news is flowing from their household, there is even more reason for Brian and Erika to be celebrating. Brian, who has always kept busy in movies and plays, has won the co-starring role in a new projected series, San Francisco Detective. When Brian completed filming the two-hour pilot, it just about coincided with Erika's announcement of impending motherhood. Happily, Brian was able to rejoin his wife in their New York apartment to share the excitement. However, when the baby arrives, Erika may be alone in the hospital.
While CBS has not yet decided to pick up San Francisco Detective as a weekly series, if they do, chances are Brian would have to start working on it during late summer through this winter. It would also mean Brian would have to fly to San Francisco for location work while Erika keeps the homefires burning in New York.
This slight twist in the togetherness of this couple needn't produce a gray edge around their silver cloud. Erika, whose first child was delivered by Caesarean, will more than likely have another Caesarian. If she does, she and Brian can plan exactly when the baby will be born, and this will enable Brian to return to New York in time to be with his wife.
No matter what fate brings to Erika and Brian, we know they are anxiously awaiting the birth of the newest member of their household, and are enjoying this special time together.
