Response To A Muslim

The original E-mail that I received is as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------
looked through your site. You are holding on to lies told by jews and christians. I understand you are a fanatical christian, and the sight of muslims gets you into a fervor. Most christians today practice polytheism, which was a doctrine created by a man(Paul(Saul) or Constantine), not Jesus Christ(pbuh). You christians keep repeating passages in the Bible verifying this belief and others, but, most people know the Bible in its many current forms has been changed for political gain and for the church to hold power over the fanatical christian masses and also by Paul. Did Jesus Christ(pbuh) every say he is God or the son of God? Wow... If he is, it would explain alot. If Jesus(pbuh) is God all my confusion would disappear, everthing would fit into place. Need I go on? Your fundamental beliefs are flawed, corrupted and in need of a tune up. We are taught not to trust Christians and Jews, because OUR(mine and yours) Prophet(saw) told us that christians and jews would never be happy with us and attack our beliefs(which doesn't work, Islam got approx.2-3 million converts from christianty in recent history). Well, I read your site and I understand why we were told this. One last tip, if you seek to attack Islam, do your research, because most of the crap you say is untrue(I have seen better). Unless, that was your goal.

I pray for your soul.

God Bless

This is the response that I gave to him and have heard nothing since:

Hello,

I would like to thank you for your E-mail and express sorrow for the delayed response.

First, I would like to ask you about the comment, "You are holding on to lies told by jews and christians." What are you calling lies? The words that people speak or the Bible composed of the Old and New Testament?

Second, the sight of Muslims does not get me in a fervor. The need of God's free gift of salvation is what I see when I see a devout Muslim. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Third, Christians do not practice polytheism. That is a lie told by Muslims who do not understand what the Bible teaches. Deuteronomy 6:4 says, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:" Mark 12:29 says, "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:" This is the teaching of the Bible, God is one! I believe that He exists with a will and that His will is expressed through His Word and carried out by His Spirit. If God is one and His Word and Spirit are apart of Him then they are inseparable and have never been created. They can never die! They are divine!

Is not the Word of God uncreated? Read what John 1:1-5 says in the Bible:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

From this we can know that Jesus was not only of human nature but of the divine as well!
What about the Spirit of God? This is what the Qur'an says about God's Spirit:

"For such He (God) have written Faith in their hearts and strengthened them with a Spirit from Himself."
Surat-ul Mujadila (58):22

This is what the book of Genesis, Chapter 1, says about the Spirit of God in the Bible:

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

This is the nature of God!

1 John 5:7 says, "For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one."

This is the one, true God that I believe in.

You say that most people know that the Bible has been changed for political gain and power. Where is your evidence of this? I can't find one single shred of evidence that has ever been recorded about this. Jesus never said that the Old Testament was changed, He expressed that the Jewish leaders had created their own tradition and were seeking to please men and not God. The Qur'an even says that the Bible has never been changed. It says some of the people have changed the meaning with their mouths:

"There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues:"
Surat-u Ali-Imran (3):78

They are called false teachers and prophets. But at no point in time has the Bible been changed. Prove me wrong...

Who could have changed all the manuscripts? When were they supposedly altered? And how was it changed? Please tell me so that I am no longer blind of the truth.

You said, "Did Jesus Christ(pbuh) every say he is God or the son of God?" I ask you to read these Scriptures:

John 8:56 Your father Abraham was full of joy at the hope of seeing my day: he saw it and was glad.
John 8:57 Then the Jews said to him, You are not fifty years old; have you seen Abraham?
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.
John 8:59 So they took up stones to send at him: but Jesus got secretly out of their way and went out of the Temple.

John 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

John 5:17 But his answer was: My Father is still working even now, and so I am working.
John 5:18 For this cause the Jews had an even greater desire to put Jesus to death, because not only did he not keep the Sabbath but he said God was his Father, so making himself equal with God.
John 5:19 So Jesus made answer and said, Truly I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything himself; he is able to do only what he sees the Father doing; whatever the Father does the Son does it in the same way.
John 5:20 For the Father has love for the Son and lets him see everything which he does: and he will let him see greater works than these so that you may be full of wonder.
John 5:21 In the same way, as the Father gives life to the dead, even so the Son gives life to those to whom he is pleased to give it.
John 5:22 The Father is not the judge of men, but he has given all decisions into the hands of the Son;
John 5:23 So that all men may give honour to the Son even as they give honour to the Father. He who gives no honour to the Son gives no honour to the Father who sent him.
John 5:24 Truly I say to you, The man whose ears are open to my word and who has faith in him who sent me, has eternal life; he will not be judged, but has come from death into life.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God who came into the World by a virgin birth (the Bible and Qur'an teach this), born of God, not man. He experienced death on a cross and died for our sins! God raised Him from the dead and in that victory over death He now gives us eternal life freely. Please tell me how my faith is in need of a tune up. You haven't given me a single reason to feel otherwise. May the one, true God lead you into all truth that we both may rejoice in Heaven for eternity!

Romans 10:8-11: "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."
