Chocobo Breeding

If you want to get to the materia caves or get extra items from chocobo racing your going to need to breed chocobos. Chocobos come in many different colours and each of them can do something that an ordinary yellow chocobo can do. You can get green chocobos, blue chocobos, black chocobos and gold chocobos.

Green or Blue Chocobo

To get a green or blue chocobo you need a great yellow one from neer Mideel and a good yellow one from near the Gold Saucer. You need to breed these with a Carob Nut which you steel from a Vlakorados which is near Bone Village in the grass section. To get a good chocobo you need to feed your chocobos till they are full and race them at the Chocobo Races.

Green Chocobos can climb mountains and Blue chocobos can cross shallow water.

Black Chocobo

To get a black chocobo you need to mate a green and a blue chocobo with a Carob Nut like above.

Black Chocobos can climb mountains and cross shallow water.

Gold Chocobo

To get a gold chocobo you need to mate a black chocobo with a wonderful yellow chocobo which you can find around the Icicle Inn with a Zeio Nut. You have to steel a Zeio Nut from some Goblins on a small island north from the Chocobo Ranch..

Gold Chocobos can go ANYWHERE!
