Mondays to Sundays, 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Galerie Y Glorietta 4 is open to the public
Sunday to Thursday 11:00 am to 8 pm and Friday to Saturday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Artists who wish to present their artworks for outright sale or
consignment basis should do so only on Wednesdays 2 to 6 pm at the branch of their choice.
They should bring with them their resumes and other samples of their work.
Artists who wish to exhibit their works at Galerie Y are required to
submit their resumes and samples of the artwork intended for exhibit. Artworks for
exhibition should not have been exhibited elsewhere in a public venue within Metro Manila.
Artworks will be screened for approval and scheduling. If
approved, artists will then receive a letter from the gallery informing them of their
schedules.
All artworks, such as paintings should be framed at the expense of the
artist. Proper identification such as the name of the artist, title, medium and
price should also be submitted. Sculptures, experimental or otherwise, should be
supplied by the artists with stands. The gallery may lend assistance.
The following should be submitted to the gallery 2 weeks before the
opening date:
Updated resume of exhibitor
5 x 7 monochrome photographs of artworks or artists to be used
for press release.
A statement regarding the exhibition concept of any significant
remarks for inclusion in the write-ups, press releases and exhibition notes.
Photos of all artworks (maximum size of 5 x 3 inches) for
authenticitiy purposes.
The gallery will send photographs and a brief write-up of the artist and
his works to editors of leading newspapers and magazines for press release with the
understanding that they will publish said releases at their own convenience. The
gallery has no control over when and where the editors decide to publish them.
The gallery will provide Internet WWW hosting at the URL http://www.bigfoot.com/~galerie_y.
Artworks for exhibit must be in the gallery, ready for installation, not
later than two (2) working days prior to the scheduled opening. The gallery has the
right not to include some artworks intended for exhibit. Should there be any delays,
the gallery must be notified immediately. The gallery may then choose to postpone or
cancel the show.
Invitations, posters, brochures are at the expense of the artist.
It should be delivered 2 weeks before the opening date. Mailing of the first 100
invitations shall be shouldered by the gallery. Anything in excess must be
shouldered by the artist.
Artists may choose to serve cocktails during the opening. Opening
hours are from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please indicate the time on the invitations.
Opening parphernalia such as the ribbon, scissors, guest book shall be
supplied by the gallery.
The gallery is not liable to the consigned artworks in the event of
armed robbery, fire, typhoon, flood and similar natural calamities or acts of God.
All sold art peices will be on a 30%/70% basis. All payments will
be made after all checks have been cleared.
Art pieces can be claimed 30 days after the exhibit. The gallery
accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged paintings left in the gallery after this
time.
The artist is strongly requested to supervise the installation of the
artworks.
For pre-sold artworks that will be exibited as part of the show, the
artists is required to give 30% of the gallery price as hanging fee.
