1 part apple cider vinegar or malt vinegar to 8 parts water. Dab on face with a cotton ball after washing. After washing hair, pour solution on as the last rinse. Work through so hair is completely soaked. Squeeze hair gently. Wrap in towel for half hour, then let air dry.
1 oz. each of Chamomile, Marigold flowers, Comfrey leaves, Rosemary leaves.
Mix together in a container that youcan cover and store for later. Make an herbal infusion with 1/2 oz of this mixture and 1 quart of water. Steep until cool enough to use. Strain through cheesecloth. Pour liquid over freshly washed & rinsed hair. Rinsing with water afterward isn't necessary.
This is a good mixture for balancing the hair back out where it's needed. However, it is dark and may affect light colored hair. If this is the case, Make the following recipe into a shampoo(directions follow) and then rinse with the Hair rinse recipe for Normal Hair.
1 oz. each Burdock root, Comfrey root or leaves, Rosemary leaves, Nettles.
Mix together and use as explained in the recipe for normal hair...1/2 cup herb mix made into an infusion w/ 1 qt. water. Use as a final rinse Recipe for Shampoo ** add to castile soap flakes or your own shampoo, followed by Herbal Rinse for Normal hair.
Meant for brunettes. Used often adds luster & depth to dark hair color. Will help prevent dandruff & other scalp problems. It is slightly antiseptic.
3 1/2 pints of water (2 Ltrs)
1 handful each if using dried herbs, 2 handfuls each if fresh.
3 1/2 fl.oz. apple cider vinegar
Place herbs in a large bowl. Boil water, pour over herbs, stir thoroughly and set aside to infuse until cold. Strain liquid, discard herbs. Add cider vinegar & mix well. Store in appropriate bottles. Use a capful or so as a final rinse.

A simpler method: boil 1 cup water and pour over a sprig of rosemary. Let steep for 10 minutes. Work through hair after shampooing.
