Alan- Alan is an alien that comes to Earth with his partner and The Doom Tree in the first half of Sailor Moon R. Though both Alan and Ann are aliens, they take human forms in order to go to school with the other humans and Sailor Scouts. Also both his and Ann's last name in the series while their in school is Granger. They both share a brother-sister relationship as humans. Alan's mission is to use his 'Cardigans' (Alan and Ann's Monsters.) to try and retive enough life energy for The Doom Tree. Alan dies close to the end of this part of Sailor Moon R. He gets revived after The Doom Tree is stopped.
Ann- Ann is Alan's partner and sister in their human form, but in their alien form, they have more of a 'companionship' with each other. Her mission is the same as Alan's, to retreve enough life energy for The Doom Tree to survive. She, unlike her partner, dosen't die.
The Doom Tree- The Doom Tree is the main bad guy in this part of Sailor Moon R, it needs life energy to live on, so thats why Alan and Ann use their 'Cardigans' to retrive it. (I'm not for sure about this but I think The Doom Tree kills Alan close to the end of this part of the series, its been a long time since I last seen this part of the series.)
