Time, for each of them, had passed very slowly.
Taylor and Kimberly had broken up. From the time she left his house until the beginning of that summer they hadn’t talked.
Kimberly her tried to reach Taylor on a few occasions, but had never gotten a hold of him. Countless messages were left with family and on the machine. Taylor had never returned one. Heartbroken, Kim had given up after a period of three months.
Along with Taylor, Kimberly had tried to reach Jennifer. She had been more successful with actually getting through, but Jennifer rarely talked to her. She would forever make things up, saying she had to go.
Soon afterwards, she went into a stage of depression and just recently, is freeing herself from it.
While Kimberly had been trying to reach Taylor, he had been having some heartache of his own. Kim had just might have been the love of his life, but he didn’t want to take chances on giving his love to a heartbreaker.
The bond Zachary and he had shared diminished greatly after the whole event. Taylor is just now starting to forgive and trust his brother. But remember, recovery of anything is a long, bumpy road.
Zachary had tried everything to get Jennifer back. He had sent her flowers and endless letters apologizing. He never once got a reply back and often wondered if she had ever read a one. He had realized what he had caused himself to lose with Jenn because of his stupid mistake.
The only good that has happened to Zachary since the incident is that Taylor is finally talking to him like a human being again. But, he realizes it will be a long time before things are the way they were between them.
And finally, Jennifer.
After that day, she had never been the same. That day in her home, she began questioning herself as to what she did to give him reason to do what he did. Jennifer began to show symptoms of anorexia and was soon after bulimic.
After being treated for both cases three and half weeks later, her outlook on life changed. Anything light colored beforehand was painted black, dark gray, or deep green.
Jennifer had received each of Zachary’s letters and only read selected ones, laughing at each.
All four began hanging out with people in different cliques.
Did they miss the old days? Sure, who doesn’t miss the days when you’re young and naïve? That is, before the reality sets in to show you what the world is like.
