Zachary walked through his front door slowly. He was...shocked, in awe. Jennifer had changed so much. She had cut her hair, at least six to eight inches. It used to be two or three below her shoulder. Now it was chin length. Her voice was peppy, happy. It used to be dull. Not dull, but definitely not peppy.

Then she had said she was making the decorations for the dance. She wasn't even going to go when he last talked to her, let alone pitch in with work. Her skirt was hemmed, three to four inches above her knee. She walked with a bounce, pep. She never had that before. Her head was up and her shoulders back. She walked with confidence. For once, she walked with confidence.

And though he was afraid to admit it, her new look, her new personality, turned him on. He was so scared to admit it though. Jenn, Jenn was his best friend. Would that change? Would that change along with her looks and personality? God, he hoped it wouldn't. That would hurt him so much. She had changed so much in the past month. He could sum up the London trip in one word-pointless. Concerts were mostly free ones for no real charities. CD signings and interviews for television, radio, and periodicals followed just about every concert.

Then, he returns home to find his best friend ha-"Hey Zac," Ike interrupted his train of thought.

"Hey," Zac replied.

"Where you off to?"

"I dunno."

"That Goth chick going with you?"

Zac shook his head. "She is-wasn't Goth."

"Wasn't?" Isaac asked, confused.

"She's...different now."

"Different?" Ike was thoroughly confused. He was a true blonde.

"Why don't you get your blades and come see? I hafta head over there to give her her sketchbook back."

Ike nodded. "Aight." He ran back in the house and up the steps to his room. He grabbed his blades then jogged back outside.

Zachary waited as his brother put on his blades then stood up.

Zac skated up the street, a backpack strapped to his back.

The two stopped a few houses down and skated up the walk. Zac stepped up on the small front stoop and rang the bell. He clutched the book in his hands tightly. The door cracked open and Jennifer appeared now in a pair of Old Navy drawstring shorts and an Old Navy signature T-shirt.

Isaac's eyes nearly bulged from their sockets as he took in the girl standing before his brother.

"Hey, I meant to give you this before," Zac spoke, raising the book.

"Oh, thanks," Jenn replied and smiled.

"Sure," Zac replied. "I know you're busy now, but call me later. I wanna catch up."

Jennifer nodded. "Of course. I didn't know you were coming back today. Otherwise I would have cleared everything. But I'll call you later tonight. Forsure."

Zac nodded. "Aight. Talk to you then."
