Older Students

	Begin on a real violin/viola of an appropriate size.
	Follow the same procedure as young students but learn material in larger increments.
	Students assume more responsibility for their learning process.
	During lessons, parents take notes.
	At home, parents assist with practice and play the recordings. This should be a joyful time of family sharing. For practicing ideas, check Jeanne Luedke's Parent Education Website, the Supplemental Reading List, and the American Suzuki Journal, available by joining the SAA.
