Daisy is wont eat infront of other people and has been raped by her father since she was young, Georgina is a pathological Lier, Polly set herself on fire when she was a little girl because her parents told her she had to get rid of her puppy because it was giving her a rash, Janet is battling anorexia, Cynthia's condition is never mentioned and Valerie is the Ward directer.

           In the beginning, Susanna is sent to the mental facility after she catches a bottle of asprin with a bottle of vodka and meets the different people. As Lisa teaches Susanna the ways of the ward,  Lisa replaces her bestfriend who commit suicide prior to lisa escaping, with susanna. Susanna becomes one of the gang and forgets about getting better. Daisy leaves to get her own apartment and  Lisa and Susanna escapes to daisy's house. After lisa confronts daisy about her father rapeing her and cutting herself and not being ready to leave the ward, Daisy hangs herself int he bathroom the next morning. Lisa takes off and Susanna decides to go back to the mental ward.After getting into trouble together, they send Lisa to a higher ward, and continues to give her shock treatments. Susanna gets mad that they took her away and Valerie yells at her to clean up her act. After that, Susanna puts all her effort forth to getting better. Near the end, Lisa has tooken susanna's journal and is reading it outloud to all of her friends. Lisa and Susanna get in a fight and Susanna confronts Lisa about not even wanting to get better, and it goes on to tell you how Susanna eventually got better and left the Facility.

            It truley is a wonderful movie with a good plot line. It's really interesting for people interesting in Psychology and mental illness's. It sort of resembles the book " I never Promised you a Rose Garden". Girl, Interrupted is simply a great movie that I like to watch over and over.

This movie is Rated R for strong language, content relating to drugs,suicide and sex and it is 127 minutes.
