Friends await fiery blasty death in air raid shelter while making small talk and having the feeling I've known you from somewhere before. DOH in the meanwhile give up and go off for ice-cream while DOE decide to join them for last party. Fuuma decides to look for his true love, froggie while Kamui sits down and cries like a little girl. 887 - Hakkai and Gojyo meet in space ship. Boys grew up on one of the spaceships escaping earth aka Trigun style. Both boys were good friends and used to include Vash in their little hide and seek games but were mushed off by Knives who decided that he wanted his brother all to himself and that he and Vash should not have any competition in the cute little boys department. 888 - Hakkai wakes up in a white room. Beside him is Gojyo who looks like he's just waking up too. Freeze frame of our friends recognising each other and realizing they are not in the room alone. Camera pans to pair of hands, or shadow of pair of hands reaching towards Hakkai and Gojyo. I also wanted to buy all the Cafe Sweets magazines at Kino and all the receipe books but would blow too much money since I was planning to and have bought Fruit Basket manga. Back to the game. Ange - No, but I did see this fanfic where Hakkai got pregnant. Hakkai - *appears with newspaper and whacks all 3 fangurls* No, I'm not the wife, I 'm not the wife ... how many times must I tell you ... Gojyo - No, don't hit them, they're girls afterall *holds Hakkai back* Ange, El and Kit - *burst out laughing in Starbucks* El - So, in the original Journey to the West, Konzen had to suffer 888 trials. Ange - Did you watch that HK movie with Stephen Chow where Sanzo irritated the demons who had captured him so much so they killed themselves so they won't have to hear him ask them to be his friends? Kit - That's quite an old show. El - How do you think Saiyuki Reload will end, I mean the boys can't remain 22 forever. Ange - You know, I think that Goku is immortal but will go crazy when Sanzo dies. El - Did you read about that fic the butterfly lovers? I think the story is quite cool and in the words of El, it doesn't hurt that the boys are damn gorgeous. Really damn cute. It's supposed to be very warming for the body so the northern chinese i.e. the chinese living near korea and japan eat it to keep warm in their cold harsh climate where little else food it available. While I understand some people have concerns about eating pets, they should understand that for some asians, eating dogs are akin to eating chickens. The fact someone may think of chickens as pets doesn't change the fact the chicken is food to another. It's built on one of those pull and push ball bearings i.e. once you pull the left arm off your only hope of reattaching it is to jam the ball bearing in the torso hard enuff just so you can push the other end of the ball bearing into the left arm but not so hard the thing snaps. Simply put, just don't do anything to the damn left arm. Gotta sleep, planned to work but itchy fingers had to ruin everything. On a side note, my clothes and bags reek of cigarettes and beer thanks to all those pub visits to catch the evening matches. Their goalkeeper is one tough guy to beat. I don't claim to be a soccer expert but Korea will be /one/ team to look out for once they improve on their shooting. Their ball control and speed are excellent. My finger seems to be better. I was at the manga shop on Saturday and cut it very badly in a sleepy stupour. Jae I'm in no position to comment about choice of studies in the varsity. I chose law coz it had the shortest timetable ^___^ Don't worry, it's practice that you really learn stuff. If I do set up the webring, it's a no adverstisement policy and no saying of stuff that could get us all arrested for political dissent etc. or defamation. But can I take it that you would be interested? I had the same problem which I thought I solved with the arm linking maneouvre. Except Gojyo broke his weapon last nite despite Hakkai's support. And before you get any ideas, I'm referring to his real weapon, the chains and moon scythe thingee ... the wind last nite was way too strong and the figurines fell off my piano, and somehow the spear got broken in the process. Fortunately, I've managed to put the snapped spear back into one and repainted over the broken bit. It won't do well on the resale market but I never intended to resell them anyway. Both Hakkai and Gojyo are now well and linking arms on another shelf where I hope they're safe. Laguna and Vash have been there for the last year and nothing appears to have fallen over. Anyway the morale of the story is ... keep them safely coz they're still unstable despite our best efforts. And just to let you know, I've got 20 hits since yesterday for Murasaki Hakkai Gojyo sandwich ... are you reading this Mura-chan? I've just finished my trawling thru Aus insurance law, Except for the fact I have to consider whether setting up such a webring would amount to an infringement of professional conduct rules ... what say you inu-chan? -------------------------------------------------------- Leareth look at this article for a quick comment that it is likely that the courts in Aus might adopt an incrementalist approach in recognising new categories for proximity. As you would be aware, proximity is one of the elements going towards the establishing of duty owed by the tortfeasor to the victim. The establishing of duty in turn is an element on which a finding of negligence hinges. I take it that you are more concerned with the approach on which proximity is founded rather than the finding itself but let me know if I have read your question wrongly. In general (as a matter of jurisprudence and all that stuff), courts have 2 ways of finding elements on which a legal duty rests. One approach is to take a "broad brush or wider principle" policy e.g. as with the state of the law for negligence shortly after Donoghue v Stevenson, whereby duty would be founded as long as it was "reasonably" foreseeable that damage or injury would result on the part of the victim if the tort was committed by the tortfeasor by virtue of their relationship in the factual matrix. The second approach (which is more common in modern day legal climates) is to consider the classes of the element "closed". A good example of the "class being closed" can be found in the finding of duty where fidiciary duty and constructive trusts are involved. In a nutshell, the courts are not as eager to find duty or proximity based on the broad brush approach but require a plaintiff to show that he either: (1) falls within an established situation (2) or that his case is soooo similar to an established situation there is no distinction for denying that the tortfeasor was under a duty to him. For example, it has been recognised that a solicitor owes his clients' beneficiaries a duty of care in drafting the will so as not to cause the gifts to fail (White v Jones). Now if a plaintiff now wishes to sue his bankers for a badly drafted clause in his credit card insurance policy such that he lost the benefits of the policy due to the bad drafting, he must convince the court that either banking customers had previously succeeded in suing their bankers for a similar mistake or that the holding in White v Jones must extend to him, i.e. if a solicitor with no dealings with the beneficiaries owes them a duty as he knew the purpose of the will and the fact that the beneficiaries would be "penalised" by any failure of the will to divide the estate as intended the bankers in his case should be liable for the failure of the policy which was intended to protect the credit card holder etc. etc. Of course the bank's lawyers would argue that there were certain considerations in White v Jones that did not existed in a banking relationship etc. etc. but had the law taken a broad brush approach, the bank's lawyers would have a harder task since it is reasonably foreseeable as a matter of logic that the credit card holder would loose a benefit if his policy was not valid. A draw results in both teams obtaining 1 point. No points are awarded for a loss and a win means 3 points. Teams qualify for the top 16 round based on points after playing the other 3 teams in their group i.e. the top 2 of the group advance on to the top 16 round. The top 16 teams play with the runner up of lets say group D meeting the winner of group A and the runner up of group D meeting the runner up of group A. No draws are allowed coz it's knock out. If the teams are still tied after 90 minutes of play i.e. both halfs are done, the team plays the golden goal round, i.e. the team to score within the next 30 minutes wins. If no score is made within those 30 minutes, we go into free kicks. Each team chooses 5 men to try to put in as many freekicks as possible i.e. player vs opposing goalkeeper one on one. If the game is still tied, then we go into freekicks for the WHOLE team i.e. every player not just a chosen 5 go one on one against the opposing goalkeeper except the minute one side scores and the other fails to follow up with a goal too, the first team wins. If all 10 players had their turn on each side and the game is still tied, the goalkeepers actually get to have a goal at the free kick too. If the game is still tied. I don't know what happens, I guess they repeat this last kickout round until someone misses. Okay someone correct me if necessary. Yes yes? *chortles* Been watching Meteor Garden on TV and Poor Prince on VCD back to back. It disturbs me that almost the same cast is re-used. I mean one minute the guy's Ximen his best friend in F4, the next minute the guy's dad? I find the situation hilarious ... The Poor Prince is funny but it doesn't do justice to the original manga. Taro is just too pissed off in the drama altho most ordinary boys in his shoe would have just left home. I was particularly looking forward to the episode where Mimura would make him dress like a maid and it was actually quite good except they need to work on the melodrama, or rather, the removal of the melodrama coz Yamada is a comedy and no Qiong Yao weepies the Taiwanese are so fond of. The sidekick that came with Maria was downright irritating tho' and the 6th and 7th brother and sister don't impress. I thought the mother was an idiot in the manga, idiotic but loveable in a way, However, in the drama, I just feel like strangling her. If I was Taro, I would commit her and daddiskins ... fortunately, the brainlessness was not inherited by the children. But they made everyone so much older ... technically, Taro's dad was 14 when Taro was born, not 17 but I guess they didn't want to corrupt impressionable minds too much. And the show is rather "not hilarious" enuff. I sincerely beg all the Taiwanese people's forgiveness but the Jap drama versions of their manga are more hilarious.
