I can't help wondering if my life would be diff if I could have afforded to study abroad. No use wondering, I only have one life and I should make best do. My folks weren't rich and they've already given me the best they could - so I should be grateful. The guy and his colleague (I'm guessing Aunt, elder sister or mum) actually threw in free Christmas wrapping and a box (otherwise I would have to pay for a box) and gave me 2 pieces of complimentary sweets ^ ^;; I guess you don't forget locals who speak in broken Jap and buy like 120 pieces of sweets from you within 4 days. EK couldn't believe it ... but no, I didn't flirt to get the sweets *glares* People who have seen me in real life will attest to that. I cannot flirt or romance anyone or anything to save my life. I look like a little boy and act like one. The day I flirt is the day Integra Hellsing will put on a cocktail dress willingly and drape herself in Alucard's lap of her own free will. Forgot to mention, they're selling Kyoto confectionaries at Liang Court Daimaru. The stall is run by a guy and an elder woman. They are friendly but the lady doesn't speak English and the man speaks only a little English. From my awful Jap skills, I did gather that they are there only until Tues. Which reminds me, I should really brush up on my Jap. I resorted to asking "Sumimasen, nichiyobi ni sutaru ga arimasu? Itsu kaerimasu ka?" And then of course there was the "ikura desu ka?" That's my problem with the language. With almost no chance to use it in daily life, my vocabulary is exceedingly weak. Maybe I should keep a diary in Japanese so at least I keep using the language. The plus point about knowing Chinese is that it helps with the Kanji greatly. The bad point is you sometimes write Chinese instead of Kanji (in about 5% of the time, the Chinese equivalent does not match the Kanji in question). But I'm really quite pleased with yesterday's party. So at about 12, when the queues in the canteen were at their longest, I would just walk up to the front, pay and collect my food. With all the backstabbing while I’m on the file, who’s to say that even if I leave him alone he won’t try to push future boulders onto me when I least expect it – trust me my ex-boss did just that when I was leaving my last firm. I guess he just didn’t think I would have the guts to march into my boss’ room and explain the whole thing to him – the way I see it, if I don’t raise the issue, I’m going to be backstabbed without a chance to explain myself, at least now it’s a 50-50.
