Vernon, Monica and family arrived in the UK in June 1975 to join Radio Worldwide, the radio outreach of the Worldwide
Evangelisation Crusade, based in Bulstrode in Gerrads Cross Buckinghamshire. They were very happy times.
WEC was founded by the all-England cricketer, C.T.Studd - who actually travelled and played in Ceylon - on route
to Australia. The family spent six months at WEC Headquarters in Gerrads Cross in Buckinghamshire.
CT Studd said:
'If Jesus Christ be God and died for me then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.'
