About This Site
This site has gone through a number of revisions over the past 12 years, however, the purpose of it is the same as at the beginning. It is a place to display personal stuff like my guitars and music, pictures of our pets and some other other personal stuff that I didn't want to build a separate site on that topic.
As I noted, this site has been around in one form or another since 1999. Prior to moving it to Lycos/Tripod in 2003 it was on various free web hosting sites. I've kept it here on Tripod rather than moving it to a better hosting location. Maybe I'll do that at some point but, for right now, I'll probably leave it "as is".
The most recent version of this site was done in late 2011 in order to get rid of the 10+ year old, outdated, table based design. This new layout is based on the CSS Blueprint design and uses JQuery on some pages.
About Me
While I enjoy playing guitar and working on guitars, my profession is computer programming and web design. I've been doing that for about 25 years. I live in the Atlanta, GA USA metropolitan area. We have several cats and a blue and gold macaw.
The best way to contact me is through email at jfcarr (the 'at' sign) msn -dot- com. I get a lot of spam at this address since I've had it a while. Therefore, make sure your title and content can't be mistaken for spam. If I don't answer right away, feel free to email me again. I get a lot of emails every day at that address so sometimes things get overlooked. You can also leave a comment for me at one of my blogs and I should see it there.
