Danelectro Free Speech

This is a talk box effects pedal. I had been wanting this kind of effect for a while and I got this one as a Christmas present.

The pedal makes an attempt to be a talk box but, in practice, it falls short. The mikes that come with it tend to pick up extra noises and feedback terribly with little excuse for it. The sounds the pedal produces are fine by itself but, for some reason, it doesn't get to the amp or mixer very well, resulting in a weak signal. As a result, I've not been able to record the sound of this pedal.

The pedal itself is built well in its sturdy metal psychedelically painted shell. The switch and knobs seem sturdy enough. The mike stand clip is weak and broke quickly. The mikes aren't that great so replacing them with an actual vocal mike would probably help.
