Terri Beattie-Amato

Your nickname on IRC, ICQ, AOL or whatever? Fourpolar

Name given at birth? Theresa Ann Beattie

Nicknames? Terri, T, or Ter. Now it's mostly Honey or Mommy! Once in a while my 2 1/2 year old says "HEY, TER...?"

Favorite words or expressions? Snarf, or Suck it up and move on. Now a days you'll also hear me saying about 153 times a day "Do you need to go pee on the potty?" or "Sit down and eat" or "If you misbehave again, I am going to take away your bubblegum privleges", "Use your manners"......."Get your finger out of your sister's ear!"

Hometown? Cuyahoga Falls and Northampton Ohio

Occupation? "Retired" Sales Executive, now a Stay-at-home Mom with 2 part- time home-based businesses selling residential and commercial security systems and legal services broker selling pre-paid legal services. Both from which I have taken an extended maternity leave...That's what's nice about home-based businesses!

Current residence? Copley, Ohio

Dream job? Believe it or not, I have my dream job now - staying home and raising a beautiful family! Pretty corny hey?

Dream place to live? Somewhere warm all year, low humidity, no crimes, no prejudices, ...does it even exist?

Croutons or bacon bits? Bacon bits, but the real thing, not those artificial nasty tasting red dyed things!

Favorite salad dressing? Sweet and Sour or Vidalia Onion

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping? Yes, but don't tell my mom or my husband!

Do you make fun of people? Not since grade school. Now I feel guilty for making fun of other kids back then with all my friends! I wish I could apologize to them. When I got older I imagined how they must have felt and how their mom's and dad's felt when they went home after school crying. I dread the day my daughters come home sad and in tears because some kids were making fun of them! Maybe I'll homeshool to avoid the tears!!

Favorite colors? Teal and cranberry

Have you ever been convicted of a crime? No.

Favorite singers/bands? I am way out of touch on music now a days. Celine Dione,Phil Collins, Genesis, Moody Blues. Although I rarely have time to listen to MY music anymore. Now it's Disney's Silly Songs

Favorite Christmas carol? White Christmas sung only by Bing himself from a real record with the scratchy sounds and all!

Five of your favorite songs? Again, way out of touch with popular music. Am very sentimental now that I am a mom. Still like Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. Also like Amazing Grace (my Dad used to sing it) Hush Little Baby...The Barney Song! (Things are pretty simple here!)

Favorite book? Zig Ziglar's Top Performance

Movie? Hmmm, again, haven't been to a movie for a long time either. Cinderella...Pretty Woman...Moonstruck......you get the picture??...The "it'll-never-happen-in-real-life happy ending chick flicks" that make you cry!

Hobbies? Love to golf, never have much time though! And playing with the kids.

Toothpaste? UltraBrite

Favorite food? Donato's Pizza, cheesecake & anything chocolate!

Favorite car? Jaguar

Favorite town to chill in? Pass-A-Grille Beach, Florida

Favorite ice cream? Ruggle's Bear Claw

Favorite non-alcoholic drink? Rootbeer or water

Favorite alcoholic drink? Scotch & water or gin & tonic

Shampoo or conditioner? Conditioner

Adidas, Nike or Reebok? I think I own Nike, although I rarely have a chance to focus on myself, let alone my feet or what's on them. I've been "barefoot and pregnant" twice since 1996 - so whatever is comfortable and---on sale!

One pillow or two? Cotton or feather? Two. One for my head, the other to keep my 2 1/2 year old from kicking me in the belly or back! Seems she likes to squeeze in the middle of the bed in the middle of the night! Definitely cotton, can't stand those feather sticks pricking me in the face!

Dogs or cats? neither

Brains or beauty?both

Nick or Disney? Disney Jan or Marcia? Marcia- we were both the oldest girls in the family. Greg or Peter? Now I have to say Greg because I married a Greg, but when I was younger...Peter, he had pretty eyes.

Ginger or Marianne? When I was little, I thought Marianne was goofy. I look back and Ginger was a real bimbo! So, I guess I really like Gilligan he was real.

Mick or Keith? Neither

New York or California? California

Favorite perfume/cologne? Halston Couture

Favorite Web sites? No favorite yet. New to this surfing stuff. I'm still confused as to what happened to the Dewey Decimal System card files at the library!

Favorite subjects at school? Gym - especially when we learned to dance and the girls got to pick a boy for a partner.

Least favorite subject at school? science

Favorite sport to watch? None, I can't/don't have the time/patience to sit still that long. Although I like to attend baseball games just for the beer and hotdogs. Humiliating moment? Definitely completing this questionnaire! Wondering if any one actually remembers who I am. I was only at Woodridge for one year!

A cause you care about? Welfare of children.

A perfect Saturday...? Sleeping in while my husband takes care of the girls in the morning. Hanging around the house with my family.

Craziest idea or silliest thing? Same as my humiliating moment above!

Do you get along with your parents? Yes. I get along more with my Mom now that I am older and a mother. I realize now where she's been coming from all these years. I always thought she was overprotective and a bit wacko for yelling all the time. I always got along with my Dad, unfortunately, he died 6 years ago.

What do you look for in the opposite sex? I don't look for the opposite sex now. That stopped the minute I laid eyes on my husband 7 years ago.

Quirky things about you? The only thing I can think of is I still recite the same bedtime prayers I did when I was a little girl. But, I'm sure my husband can come up with a lot more!

People would be surprised to know that…? I am a terrible housekeeper! And I didn't get married until I was 32 years old. Had my first baby at 35, second at 37, third....???

Before you die, you'd like to…? Dance with my husband at our grandchildren's weddings.

Something great that happened to you? I met my husband at Put In Bay, fell in "love at first sight", got married less than one year later, had 2 beautiful daughters.

Something sad that happened to you? My Dad dying at age 55 - 3 months after he walked me down the aisle. He never had a chance to meet my daughters.

Heroes / role models? My Dad and Mom

Butter or peanut butter (this being woody-related and all...) Peanut Butter---crunchy!

My idea of luxury is... Going to the bathroom without 2 kids in there with me!

Motto: I try to find the positive or lesson in every negative or obstacle that comes my way, so I have always had this quote hanging in my office: "When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."---Helen Keller, Author & Lecturer
