Recently,
I received a shark fuselage as a gift from my friend, Andy in Jet
Hobbies, while he came back
from Hong Kong. The fuselage comes with a very simple instruction (click
here to see), only
a piece of paper with three draws. It can only give me a very general
idea about how to work on it. I tried to look for help online, but there
is no response on how to work on it.
The only information I can find related to shark fuselage is by looking F3C World Heli Championship Video. Manaku Hashimoto was flying his Freya EX WC with Black Shark fuselage on. Also Jason Chen (http://www.jason.net) has photos on his web site and his Eagle EX WC with Black Shark fuselage on.
As I suffering the lack of information about this fuselage, I decide to share my experience about how I work on my project and wish that would help others to work on their own one. Cutting holes (Part 1)While I first received this fuselage, first thing I realized is there is only one hole on the end of tail to contact inside and outside fuselage, so I have cut several holes myself for rotor head, landing gear, exhaust and engine cooling. There are several holes have to be cut on this fuselage, but there are only few I can cut before a heli is put in because most position of holes are determined by the heli. I only cut three holes in the nose and side wings at this moment. Dremel tool is perfect for doing the cutting job. After the holes has been cut, the edge of the hole are needed to sand for smoothness. Sanding the edges also prevent any cracking from the edge. Possibly carefully apply a little CA on the edge of the holes; it works perfectly.
I think I have to stop this project for now and wait for my Freya EX WC. This project has been held permanently because I have no need to use it unless my flying skill reach certain level.
