It was April 8, 2004.Ashleigh McNamara was getting ready to land in Nashville for the CMT Music Awards Show. She had won an all-expense paid trip to see the CMT's from the radio station she listened to.

"Please fasten your seatbelts, we will be landing in Nashville shortly." The pilot announced over the intercom. Ashleigh turned off her Rascal Flatts CD and put her CD player in her bag. After about 10 minutes, she was off the plane in Nashville. She was just grabbing her guitar and bag when someone from behind her said "Ashleigh"?"

She turned around and a tall guy smiled at her. He said "Hi, I'm Jordan. I'll be escorting you and the other contest winner around this week."

"Okay."

Jordan got into a cleared area and held up a sign that said "Flameworthy Contest Winners!!!" After a few minutes, a girl with brown hair and brown eyes walked up and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Alice Pantzer."

Ashleigh looked surprised. "OH MY GOSH HI GIRL I'M SOOO HAPPY TO FINALLY MEET MY BEST FRIEND IN PERSON!"

Alice looked just as surprised but hugged her tightly and said, it's great to finally meet you as well!"



Jordan interrupted. "Well, we should be getting to the hotel; I need to take you girls to buy your dresses." He got Alice's stuff and headed out to the limo.

"So exactly what are we doing this week, Jordan?" Alice asked.

He looked back in the rearview mirror "well, we're shopping today, and then tomorrow we'll meet the artists you are going to escort. The next day is the award show, and then you'll be leaving after that."

"Hold on a second- what about being escorts?" Ashleigh asked

"Oh yeah, you'll each be escorting a singer. Didn't they tell you?"

"No" Alice laughed. "But that's awesome." They pulled up to the
hotel. As soon as they got out, they saw Kenny Chesney getting into another limo. "You know, I think I'm gonna like it here." Alice said.

Alice and Ashleigh got into the hotel and went up to their rooms.

About an hour later, they came back downstairs to meet Jordan again. They went to a huge store in downtown Nashville. Ashleigh and Alice walked in and were quickly greeted by a saleswoman. The nameplate on her shirt read Brittany. She smiled and said "How can I help you?"

Alice said "We're going to the CMT Music Awards Show and we need to get something to wear."

"OK, well holler if y'all need any help."

"Sure" Ashleigh said. She walked over to a long emerald green dress and started looking at it. Alice walked over to a strapless blue dress and held it up to herself. Ashleigh took the emerald green dress and a denim sundress to try on. Alice took a dark green sequined dress and the blue dress into the dressing room. ,Ashleigh decided on the emerald green dress and Alice took the strapless blue dress.

After they got back to the hotel, they went to the pool area. Alice went out to dinner, but Ashleigh was tired so she order room service and called it a night.

The next morning Alice slept in late, because they were supposed to be at the Country Music Hall Of Fame at 5. She put on her Silver Jeans,her blue rf tank top, her blue champion shoes, and her white zip-up jacket and went to get some fast food.

When she met up with Ashleigh, she was wearing her favorite jeans, her rascal flatts hoodie,and her favorite shoes. Jordan came and picked them up. They got out of the limo and waved bye to Jordan, then they went inside.

They started looking around. "Alice, did Jordan say where we were supposed to meet them?"

"No, but I don't think they'd be that hard to find" Alice said.

"Huh." Ashleigh said. "I reckon they're around here somewhere." They walked around a little more, and decided to sit down at a bench to look at a map to figure out where they were supposed to be. They hadn't been sitting there for more than 5 minutes when they heard a guy say "Excuse me?"

Ashleigh and Alice looked up. Alice looked like she was about to pass out, because Joe Don Rooney and Chris Young were standing right in front of them! Ashleigh stood up and hugged Chris. Alice stood up and said "Hi" to Joe Don.

Chris said "So I guess you are the contest winners?"

Ashleigh said "Yeah, we are."

"Well, what's your name?"

"Ashleigh McNamara"

"OK Ashleigh, who do you want to escort?"

"I don't really care." Ashleigh said, and looked at Alice. "But I think that she probably wants to be with Joe Don, so I'll go with you"

Chris kinda laughed "Okay"

"Well..."Ashleigh looked at her watch. "What are we gonna do now?"

"Umm... I guess we'll look around here some and then go get something to eat." Chris said

"Okay, sounds like a good deal." Ashleigh went over to Joe Don and Alice. "Y'all ready?"

"Yeah." Alice said.

So they all went and looked around the hall of fame. After that, they headed to an Italian restaurant. They ordered a large cheese pizza and some cokes. When they all sat down to eat, Joe Don said, "So where are you ladies from?"

Alice said, "Brentwood,Tennessee"

Ashleigh said "Seattle,Washigton"

"Hey Alice, I live in Brentwood as well" Joe Don said

"Yeah, I know I did my research on you!" Alice says

Joe Don just laughed and says "Well,I'm glad to know that someone does their research!"

They got done eating and left to go and meet the other members of Rascal Flatts.

When they got there, Jay Demarcus was waiting outside for them.

Jay said, "Well did you get here late enough?"

"Y'all are fine, just ignore him" Gary LeVox said.

"Okay" Ashleigh said. They went inside

Jay sat down next to Alice and said "So you’re Joe Dons escort?"

"Yeah"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Um..I guess so..Go ahead"

"What did you think of I Melt?"

"I loved it"

"Yeah? What about you, Ashleigh?"

"I thought it was good. I don't see where the folks that were freakin out were coming from, though. It didn't offend me at all."

After they talked for about an hour, Chris, Ashleigh, Alice, and Joe Don all headed outside.

"Today was really great" Ashleigh said to Chris as she hailed a cab. "I'm excited about tomorrow"

"OK... bye Ashleigh" Chris said

"I'll see you tomorrow, Joe Don" Alice said.

"See ya later, Alice" Joe Don said

As the cab drove away Ashleigh screamed 'OH MY GOSH!!! That was wonderful!!"

Alice laughed "Yeah, that was really cool. Tomorrow is gonna be great"

So,the next morning the girls wake up and come down and meet Jordan

"So girls,are you ready for the CMT's and to escort the guys around all night?"

Alice says,"Yeah, as ready as I will ever be!"

Ashleigh laughed,"yeah,what she said!"

So,the girls and Jordan go to the hall of fame where they are suppose to meet up with the guys,when they arrive there the guys are already there and dressed really nice!

When the girls walk in Chris and Joe don are like "Boy, you girls sure look nice"

The girls say together,"Thanks guys,right back at ya!"

So they got in the limos and went to the pre-show.

When they got there, Chris helped Ashleigh out of the limo and offered her his arm. Cledus T. Judd walked up to Chris and said "Well hey Chris who ya got there?"

"This is Ashleigh McNamara, she is a professional graphic designer who won a contest to come to the Flamewortys with me."

"What all have you done since you got here?"

"Just looked around Nashville"

"Cool, well good luck tonight"

"Thanks"

Rascal Flatts was nominated for Group Video of the Year, Flameworthy Concept Video of the Year, and Hottest Male Video of the Year, and Rascal Flatts were supposed to preform. Chris was nominated for Male Video and Concept video as well.

Brad Paisley presented the award for Group Video of the Year. He opened the envelope. "And the winner is.... RASCAL FLATTS!" Joe Don kissed Alice then everyone stood up and went to get the award.

Rascal Flatts won the awards for Flameworthy Concept video of the year and Hottest Male Video of the Year.When,they won the Concept video Joe Don kissed Alice again and then walked up on the stage with the rest of the group to accept the award!

When, they won the award for Hottest Male Video of the Year Joe Don walked up there with the group and then said "Could,I have Alice Pantzer come up here please?"

So,Alice walks up there and is like "What do you think you are doing?"

Joe Don said "Alice won a contest where she could spend a couple of days with me and then come to this show." He smiled and then continued. "I wasn't sure how this was gonna turn out but now I'm thankful that we got to meet. Alice, you're a great person and I could not have asked for a better person to share this night and moment with!"

So after the awards (Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney won everything else) everyone went to the wrap party.

When they got to the wrap party Chris walked up and asked if he could have everyone's attention.

So when Chris has everyone's attention he asked Ashleigh to come up front so he could ask her something.

Ashleigh walks up there looking all confused and then Billy started talking.

"Ashleigh, these two days that you have been here have been the greatest days of my singing career to get to meet someone as sweet as you!" "Trish,I know you may not be excepting this but I love you Ashleigh" "WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?"

Ashleigh just kinda stared at Chris for a minute, because she couldn't tell if he was serious.She looked into Chris's eyes and by the look, she knew he wouldn't hurt her.

She laughed. "Sure"

Chris kisses Ashleigh and they walk back into the crowd.

Then Joe don walks in front of the crowd and ask for everyone's attention again.

When he has everyone's attention he ask if Alice coud come up there for a sec.

"Alice, you're the sweetest girl I've met in a long time and I couldn't have asked for anyone else to spend these past few days with and I think I'm falling in love with you and fast! Will you date me?"

Alice smiled "Absolutely."

They walked back into the crowd.

Chris said "This is getting kinda crowded... you guys wanna go on a walk?"

They all got up and left the party and headed to a park.

Ashleigh and Chris walked a little behind Alice and JD, and slowly fell behind. They got so engrossed in their conversation they didn't even notice Joe Don running up to the malone.

"Guys!" he said, panting

"What's going on Joe Don"

"Some guy made Alice get in his truck and I couldn't stop him"

"Oh Geez!" Ashleigh starts freaking out.

"Calm down baby" Chris said" We gotta figure out where they took her...joe don did you see the drivers license?"
"Yeah... SGW 919"

"Ok...what we need to go is go to the cops and tell them that"

"We can't...he said he'd kill her if we brought the cops in!"

"Damn" Chris whispered. "Ok, we still need to find them. hold on" Chris came back in a few minutes with his truck."Y'all get in, we're gonna find her."

""They went that way" Joe Don said in a worried voice.

They drove along for a few more minutes until Joe Don yelled "STOP THE TRUCK!"

"What is it?" Chris asked after slamming on the breaks.

"Thats the truck, in front of that building"
