I studie Okinawan Goju Ryu at Samurai Martial Sports, in Houston, Texas, under Sensei Mike Wise from March
2001, when the club opened, until the middle of August 2002. At that point, I quit my job and ran off to school.
Since I could join the Tae Kwon Do club for only $20.00 per semester, I've been doing that the last couple semesters and haven't
had the chance to do any Goju Ryu. With luck, after I graduate, I'll be able to return to this form.
I got my
green belt (6th kyu) for Goju Ryu in June 2002.
I got my green belt (2nd earned belt) for Tae Kwon Do in April (maybe March) 2003.
As you can see, the
color of the belt does not indicate the same rank in every form of martial arts.
