The coaching staff is looking forward to a successful season with a lot of
hard work, commitment, discipline, and dedication on the part of the players
and staff. Pre-season state rankings from the various polls also
predict good things from the La Grange Leopards.
Everyone
realizes, though, that many variables are in place that can affect the
outcome of the season ranging from the hard work and dedication to staying
healthy and athletes maintaining their grades.
Support is
also a big factor - having the much needed support of parents, community
members, fans and administration is an integral part of the plan.

on the Forney game:
Coach
Sports - "The game against Forney for the State Championship
was a "mirror image" of our season. Our guys would not
be denied! We seemed to find a way to make a big play when we
needed one. This was a great team! Never lose faith -
always believe and good things will happen."
Coach
Hickle - "What a great championship game. Our kids
played their hearts out as did Forney's. Great plays followed by
great plays! Our defense really stepped up when they had to and
our offense drove 95 yards to win the game! We played just like
we did all year. Congratulations to the Leps: 24-3 in 2
years!"
Coach
Cooper - "The Forney game was a classic state championship
football game. It was a battle between two very determined
football teams. Our kids showed tremendous heart throughout not
only this game, but also the entire season. Congratulations to
the 2000 La Grange Leopards - State Champions!!!"
