"As usual, Miranda and her "family" were gracious and hospitable, and their encampment looked so magical. By day brightly colored banners snapped in the breeze as the fringes and tassels strung around the tents swayed gently, and at night shimmering candles lit the path to the encampment and many delicately colorful candle lanterns hung from the big bedouin tent. There was wonderful like music - not just drums, although there were excellent drummers (Rashid and Elliot (if there were others i missed them)
and my apologies) - but live oud, santour, and kanoun by Sharifa and Omar.
While Miranda's photos are wonderful, the encampment was even more spectacular for real." --Anahita

Camp is coming together. Dinner is served. Miranda & Eliott jam it up.
Saturday morning, the women are ready to walk to the Souk (Merchant's Row).
Tina, billy, and Di; General lazing around in the afternoon. Omar treats us to an oud solo.
Omar supplies yet more music while Eliott supplies tea (and we enjoy!).
Impromptu jam session on Saturday afternoon. Shareefa plays kanoun, Eliott on daf, Rashid on drum.

Workin up an appetite for dinner (and tonight's party). The sun sets upon our little slice of heaven.
NEWS FLASH! Miranda and Tina purchase a slave... call him "Goat Boy".
