LA'S BEST KNOWN PUNK BAND- X from left to right:Billy Zoom, guitar, Don Bonebrake, drums, John Doe, bass and Exene, vocals. The Maddog sat in with X in 1979 at Club 88 cuz Bonebrake was wiped out and the audience wanted an encore. They were one of my favorite bands so it was an honor to jam with them, especially Billy Zoom cuz he's a great guitar player. I still talk to Billy and Exene on occasion, in fact Billy sent me an e-mail a few weeks ago. Best Song:: We're Desparate!!! get used to it it's kiss or kill........

SAN FRANSISCO'S THE AVENGERS: from left to right-Jimmy Wilsey,bass, Penelope Houston, vocals, Danny Furious, drums, and Greg Ingraham. They were my favorite band on the west coast and i got to be good friends with Penelope, Danny, and Jimmy. Danny was my boy cuz he was ma drummer like me and we had some crazy fun together. I keep in touch with Penelope by email these days and I hoping to meet up with old Danny again one day. LA'S GERMS:from left to right:Pat Smear, guitar, DarbyCrash, vocals and germ's burn specialist, Don Bowles, drums, and last but not least, the lovely Lorna Doom. Lorna came to la 21/2 years and came to visit the Maddog. She looked beautiful and we marvelled over how important we'd become as original Masque punks. We agreed that deep inside we loved all the attention!!! She and Darby were very close to the Maddog: Maddog was always getting Darby out of an ass kicking. He was a real good buddy and even Lorna had never been in his room at home, but the Maddog spent many an evening at Darby's taking drugs and taking shit until dawn...RIP, you scumbag......gimme gimme your hands..
