Greetings after four years. I had stopped using this blog four years ago shortly after creation because I had been unable to post new posts for unknown reasons. Now four years later I am able to post anew ... so I guess whatever the bug was has been fixed.
We spend the Greek Easter holiday weekend visiting the beautiful city of Kastoria known for its fur trade. Kastoria is named after the beaver common to the area years ago and called castor in Greek. While the beaver has not survived the fur trade has importing furs from abroad and fabricating furs locally. The city is also home to over 75 bysantine churches and is situated on a penisula jutting out over a beautiful lake. While there we enjoyed company of friends (Anna and Babis who put us up), fine walks, and a visit to the Circus Maximus.
