Well 'im a 45 year old Newzealander with a 46 year old wife and we have two children with us,Our Daughter Eppie 15 and son
Chay 13.
I am a qualifed chef and have been working in variouis parts of newzealand for the past 15 years. My wife Sheryl is a
sales person, with a special talent for selling anything to any one.
We were both working long hours, and Sheryl was away most weekends, and I was working 7 days 10 -12 hours a day,we never
saw each other or the kids.
so we dicided to make a lifestyle change and buy a House bus and this site tells you a bit about what we endevoured
and enjoyed
Well we finally did it bought a bus or to be exact a house bus, we will be picking it up in a couple of weeks exciting eh,
It's a 1971 Leyland AEC with 505cc diesil engine, 11meters long and 4.1 meters high, weighing 11 ton fully laden.
This is the house bus we bought not bad eh, we need to make a few changes, add another bedroom down stairs, and the kids will
have the two upstairs. The bus is fully self sufficient with Gas, battery power and power cord as well as a generator.Gas
oven, gas, or power, fridge, a flush toilet and shower, with hot and cold running water.
I will have to get my heavy traffic license so I can drive the thing. This could be expensive as I will have to fast
track and pay a large amount of money to an approved instructor but at least I will be able to drive the thing. Well we have
got the house on the market the real estate agent thought it best if we went with tender first just to see what sort of offers
we would get and an idea of what people were prepared to pay.

Well we have an offer on the house, a young couple who have wanted the house for a long time and they have offered
$230.000, a lot more than we paid 18 months ago and a lot more than I expected but that's good, will leave us some money to
play round with. We need to buy a new mobile phone for the Internet connection mostly for the kids correspondence so they
can get on the net and do there school work, plus Sheryl wants to put in a washing machine, and so we only use one plug for
the TV we will buy a combo TV and video in one but might have to buy an adaptor to run it from 12volt to 240v, but we will
work that out as we go I guess. I have suggested that we go and spend xmas with the family down south and I think she has
agreed to that so far, but will probably start in the south island so we don't have to spend to much for the ferry travelling
back and forward, but then the south is very nice in summer and I think the kids will love it.
4 JULY 2003
Well went in to AA and sat my learners licence for my class 2, which is for heavy traffic, which will allow me to drive
the bus, but at the moment only with someone who has had a full licence for at least 2 years. But I can fast track it and
sit and pass an approved driving course and get my full straight away, but that means paying about $700. But would be worth
it, otherwise I will have to wait 6 months before I can sit my full licence.
