James Lindsey & Mary Lucinda
(Stegall) Johnson Jim was my grand-uncle and brother of
Eddie Peterson Johnson. He was an
assistant pastor at the Unita Methodist
Prodestant Church from 1904 thru 1906
and served as pastor of Craig Prairie
from 1905 thru 1907. He later moved to
Hugo, Oklahoma.
Jim & Mary had 9 children, they were:
Burtie Lena, James Wesley, Mary Lee,
Laura May, Lillie D., Jesse L., Thomas
O., John C. and Annie A. Johnson. Robert Lee "Bob" & Cora Mabel
(Anderson) Combs
Bob was a 1/2 brother of Eddie P. Johnson
and my 1/2 grand-uncle. He attended school
at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tn.
for two years as a medical student before
hanging his shingle in a small office in
Cooper, Tx. He was a general practitioner,
beloved by friends and neighbors for his
generousity and eagerness to help anyone
regardless of their ability to pay.
Bob & Cora had the following children:
Sue Mary, Florence Emma, Robert Lee Jr.,
Maggie Josephine and Charles Anderson
