Welcome to our ‘new’ look Newsletter, our new editor, Hazel, has really brought it into the new millennium. We trust it meets with your approval ! The idea is to keep you informed on the news in the world of MS and bring to your attention relevant news in our region. But this is also a great medium for us to share our experiences - good and bad - to help others in similar situations and to exchange ideas, make suggestions for social events and generally contribute in any way - with stories, information, recipes jokes in fact anything ! - just so long as it is publishable! -the Editor does not want to spend time in court defending her honour!!
This really is “your” newsletter, your views are important and we want to hear from you. So get scribbling and send your finished article to the Editor by January 8th 2001. You will find the address on the back page along with the new Branch telephone number. I am delighted that we now have this dedicated line for the Branch; we are arranging for it to be advertised in the local press and it will appear in the next edition of the phone directory. If you or anyone you know who has MS have any problems or need assistance please let them know of this number
With Hazels appointment the committee has under gone another change, but it can only mean an improvement. The National Centre has been organising Work Smarter Not Harder seminars for all committees and we hope that by the end of February we will have developed a new strategy for this committee
Christmas is almost upon us when those amongst us who might take a little bit too much of the hard stuff can say.
