News of Simon's new movie!
Production began this week on Simon's untitled romantic comedy (previously titled "42.4 Percent").
The movie is about finding love when and where it's least expected. Kenya (played by Ms. Lathan)
is a career woman who, while a "type A" success professionally, yearns for comparable personal satisfaction. Looking for that
"perfect man," she even has a checklist at the ready. Much to her surprise, she sets off sparks with Brian (Mr. Baker), who's
not what she'd pictured for herself. They share a mutual attraction, passion, and a deepening connection. Can Kenya retire
her checklist, sweep aside preconceptions, and commit to a future with Brian?

Baker also talked to SciFi-Wire about George Romero's upcoming Zombie movie "Land of the Dead", in which he stars
as "Riley". It seems like he had a very good time on the set.

constricted. And with Naomi it's completely the opposite. The more successful she's gotten, the more risks she takes.
She just commits to everything. So working with her was quite inspirational. It's harder to impress someone who's known you
for 12 years. Sometimes that mystery isn't there anymore. But she impressed me."

With last week's news that ABC will not go forward with Pittsburgh native David Hollander's proposed Pittsburgh-set
follow-up to "The Guardian," the writer/executive producer said he's exploring what he wants to do next.
"I
want to take a little bit of time to try to figure out what I want to do, whether that's more TV or film or take a break,"

According to German movie site Zelluloid, George A. Romero's
upcoming Zombie movie "Land of the Dead" will have its German Premiere on the 21st of October, and can be
seen in cinemas from the 27th of October 2005.
This means, that it looks like Universal plans to release the movie World
Wide with a date settled around Halloween.

Excellent actors, an involving story that continued over numerous episodes (with a cool theme song by The Wallflowers),
set not in L.A., Vegas or New York but in also-ran Pittsburgh
(where a tribute to the show was held in September). Show creator David Hollander, I read somewhere, is also a playwright,
and he knows how character drives drama, and he made sure his characters were absorbing and realistic. It was a fascinating
show to watch, beautifully acted and paced, and blessedly free of the moralizing, hero-making or humiliation you see in every
other show. These were regular people, mostly trying to resolve their major life issues and be happy.

Australian Girls Choir entertains Hollywood's top Aussies!
In January, twenty senior choristers performed at a dinner honouring Hollywood's leading Australian stars
as part of the 'G'Day LA' Australia Week 2004. The twenty members of the Australian Girls Choir
from Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney went on the whirlwind trip as part
of the official Qantas Choir. The Penfolds Gala Dinner honoured Cate Blanchett, Anthony LaPaglia and Baz
Luhrmann for their excellence in the entertainment industry. The dinner was held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire
Hotel on Saturday January 24 and the girls' performance was one of the highlights of the night,
alongside a performance by Vanessa Amarosi. Other guests at the event included Mel Gibson, Olivia Newton John
