A master drum carver for over 30 years, Musa has played with such drum masters as Chief Bey, Master Henry Gibson, Sartuse Membora, King George and various other African drum artists.

His drums have been used by Chicago artist in Muntu Dance Theater, Darlene Balckburn, The Chicago Art Ensemble, Najwa Dance Theater, Nubian Cultural Dance Theater as well as Milwaukee's Kothi dance Theater and Aman Ra Dance Theater of Detroit.
Musa gives back to the community through the "Gifts to the Children Program" which he developed. Musa feels strongly that children everywhere see the beautiful culture of Africa in America through music and the DRUM. He received the Black History in Motion Award for his work in this area.
Musa is a part of a society of drum carvers which includes Tiemba of Chicago and Baile of Baltimore.
